Fall Foliage Sunday

This fall has been unusually dry and sunny for these parts. Resulting in uncharacteristically slow walkies whilst yours truly waits for momma to ogle the trees.

Not being terribly discerning in the red / yellow color spectrum, I am disinclined to enjoy the view and more keen to snuffle in the fallen leaves (which makes momma impatient in a way that demonstrates the inequity in our relationship).

Momma has "encouraged" me to share with you recent flashy images only one of which features me. Since agreement will lead to my morning walk, I cannot refuse her request.

Replace the motor car with a buggy and you've got an official historical scene.

This our neighbor's tree. Try to ignore ugly evergreen on the right which momma "thinks about" cutting down every year "before it falls down."

Even the hated encroaching vines get a bye when they sport color.

We did a reconnaissance mission to the fall fair on the village green. Almost requires the "Olde New England Faire" caption (extra e's making it authentic).

Forget the leaves. I smell nommies!

Dexter done!

  1. Very pretty. Our leaves are a little boring thus far, thanks to too much rain at the wrong time.

  2. Leaves are good around here. Just dry enough to get stuck in my beard and a tad musty smelling. I think this is a good crop.

  3. Your autumn colors are so beautiful, Dexter. Mom says even the poison ivy is pretty with its autumn foliage!

  4. It is a well known hazard of Autumn - or if you insist, 'Fall' - that one's human is inclined to forget that the main point of owning a camera is to take photos of their favourite pet....

  9. Our leaves are starting to turn too. Dexter, I think all the humans get all camera happy when the leaves are pretty. You are probably just gonna have to deal with it...it will be over soon. Momma says too soon!

  15. Our fall flame was a bit of a fizzle - a very dry spring/summer resulted in very blah fall foliage. But your foliage is very pretty, so cut your Momma some slack on the photo taking - we have to humor the humans occasionally. However, your Momma should have bought you some pie as compensation for all the bloggie photos that don't include you. Just saying...

  18. Loved the foliage, as we do not ever see it down here in South Florida.

But, this is to comment on your comment on my blog post. The whole terrier group thing was to make sure that BOTH teams got to the World Series...and we were successful. So we will salute you from the other side of the diamond and just hope you recognize that we bearded ones had a lot to do with how your bearded ones made it. Just sayin' And may the best beards win!

    Wirey woof,
